A board meeting was held on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Meetings are held in the Dining Hall at

the Camp. Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. All are

welcome to attend.

Camp News

The renovation of Cabin 11 is complete. We are having an issue with the tankless water heater

that is in the process of being resolved though.

The disc golf course is moving along. The first nine holes are set to have the forms set and

leveled, holes drilled for the signs, and concrete poured this month. The second annual

tournament is scheduled for August 1st.

An insurance audit was done in April and there are several things noted that we need to correct.

Cabin 22 needs a new roof, the shower house roof needs the sway removed, safety rails have to

be installed on the top bunks of all bunk beds, the Youth Chapel chimney needs repaired and a

couple of miscellaneous items.

The Birthday Challenge has been accepted by 12 people, with a total of $678 raised. Information

was incorrect in April.

The walk-in cooler needs a wire repaired. The mechanical company working on it got behind in

their schedule and we’re following up.

The heating/cooling units from the motel rooms that have been replaced previously were

evaluated to see if they were salvageable for parts. They were determined to be unsuitable for

any further use, and scrapped. Approval was given to purchase 2 new units to have on hand

when the need arises.

Our tractor and zero turn mower both had some issues that are being resolved. We are grateful

for the warranties on both as all work needed should be fully covered.


The microwave in one apartment stopped working. We have an extra one on hand that is able to

be used until a new over the range one is purchased and installed.

The restrooms, shower house, and cabins that were winterized are ready to be turned back on for

the seasons. Once things are up and running our housekeeping staff is ready to come in and get

things set back up.

We are still working on improvements to our facilities in terms of space, comfortability, and

appearance.

Giving

We rely heavily on our Camp Family for support, as the rentals are a blessing, and not a

given. The projects we would like to take on are, at best, nearly impossible, on our current

income. If you do not currently support the Camp financially, we ask that you please consider

doing so.

We have 2 options for online giving. We use tithe.ly, which is an app available for both Android

and iOS users, and PayPal. You can find us on tithe.ly as New Life Christian Camp and on

PayPal by using the email address newlifechristiancamp@outlook.com.

If you prefer to mail a check, they can be made out to NLCCA, and sent to 11257 Old Macomb

Road, Rushville, IL 62681.

Camp Fusion

Registration is open! Registration is now open online, and the form is found here:

https://forms.gle/jHMGwkYHAHmLot4a9. As the space to stay on the grounds is limited, please

register as soon as possible. This helps us ensure that everyone that needs a bed has one.

As of our May meeting, reservations were coming in hot! There were already 45 people

registered, with 3 sponsorships needed.

If you are looking for a way to be involved during Camp, we can always use volunteers in VBS,

the Sideboard, and Nursery.

Camp rates have been set for the week. Please do not let the cost be a deterrent as we are able to

work with you. If the cost presents a challenge, please reach out to a Board Member (contact info

at the end). The weekly rate below includes your room and all meals.

Adults 20+ = $200

Teens 12-19 = $175

Children 3-11 = $125

Children 3-11 = $85 (2nd)

Children 3-11 = $75 (3rd)

Children 3-11 = $60 (4th+)

Children under 3 are free


Daily rates that include room and meals:

Adults 12+ = $30

Children 3-11 = $25

Individual meals are $6 each, or a daily pass (covers all 3) is $15

We need a Dining Hall Assistant! This is a volunteer position (can be included with the Crew for

tip sharing) and is for the full run of Camp. This position does require a time commitment, but

there can be some flexibility when/if needed. Responsibilities include helping set up and clean

up for all meals, making sure paper products are stocked for the salad bar and serving line, and

assisting with the Dining Hall crew. No special certifications are needed and there is not an age

requirement. Over 18 is preferred simply due the general age of the crew.

Occupancy

We currently have 3 RV spaces and 6 motel rooms rented. One of the apartments is rented but

the second one vacated earlier than planned as the crew member staying there was relocated.

There are several pending reservations for RV spaces and motel rooms.

Camp Merchandise

We will have tumbler cups available for purchase during Camp. They are $15 each. Please note

these tumblers are not dishwasher safe.


There is also a pre-order for Camp trucker hats open until June 13th. The hats are $18 each, and

the store link is https://76164f-fd.myshopify.com/. The hats are pre-order only and will be

brought to Camp Fusion for pick up.
