Camp Fusion
We are full to bursting with campers staying on the grounds; approximately 140. As a result
registration is closed. While we praise God for the response to Camp, finding places for
everyone to stay has been a challenge. A huge thank you to those who took on this important
piece of Camp!
While we don’t have room for anyone else to stay on site, we would love to have you join us for
meals, fellowship, and worship services!
Breakfast is at 7:45 a.m., lunch/dinner is at noon, and dinner/supper is at 5 pm. Meals are $6
each, or $15 per day for all 3. Activities for all ages start at 9 a.m., and the evening service is at 7
p.m.
Monday night (July 14th) is fried chicken for dinner, and it has also been designated Bib Overall
day/night. Both are in honor of Keith Vaughn, as he faithfully provided chicken on the first day
Camp for many years, and could almost always be spotted in bib overalls.
We are in need of help in the Sideboard, especially in the evenings. We need at least 1 person
each night that has a food handlers’ certificate. This is easily obtained online at
https://www.statefoodsafety.com/food-handler. This is a health department requirement because
we serve food (nachos, hot dogs, popcorn).
We are also still in need of a dining hall assistant. This is a volunteer position that does require a
fair amount of time.
A friendly reminder - there will not be a nursery this year due to space constraints.
We do have 8-12 people needing a sponsorship to attend. We ask that you consider sponsoring
someone in part or in full if you’re able.
Giving
We rely heavily on our Camp Family for support, as the rentals are a blessing, and not a
given. The projects we would like to take on are, at best, nearly impossible, on our current
income. If you do not currently support the Camp financially, we ask that you please consider
doing so.
We have 2 options for online giving. We use tithe.ly, which is an app available for both
Android and iOS users, and PayPal. You can find us on tithe.ly as New Life Christian Camp
and on PayPal using @nlcca1914 or searching New Life Christian Camp.
If you prefer to mail a check, they can be made out to NLCCA, and sent to 11257 Old Macomb
Road, Rushville, IL 62681.
Camp News
The Camp Board received a very nice card and note from Keigh Vaughn’s family, along with a
donation from his estate. We are grateful for Keith and Bonnie, and their faithfulness to the
Camp over the years, as well as their support in so many different ways. They have been, and
will continue to be, missed by all who knew them.
We lost the large tree limb the tire swing was on. This is another tree that we are going to have to
consider removing as it is dying off. If you look around the grounds, many of our trees are aging,
and will need to be removed in the not so distant future.
The walk in cooler has been repaired and is back to work.
One new ac/heat unit has been purchased for the motel. It was installed in room 2, the unit in 2
went to room 10, and the one from room 10 has been set aside as a backup. A second unit will be
purchased in the near future. Each unit costs $679.99.
We had 25 stumps removed from the grounds at a cost of $2,000.
The stove/oven unit was purchased for $1,500 and will be installed after Camp.
Camp Projects - completed

scheduled to vacate on the 6th, and we did have one of our month to month RV spaces vacate as
well.

these tumblers are not dishwasher safe. There is also a limited number of hats available. They are
